The Marlborough District Council Tradewaste Bylaw 2011 (i) Preamble The Marlborough District Council hereby makes by resolution the following Marlborough District Council Tradewaste Bylaw 2011 pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Act 2002, and any other Act or authority in any way enabling the Council in that behalf. (ii) Title and Commencement This Bylaw may be cited as The Marlborough District Council Tradewaste Bylaw 2011. This Bylaw shall come into force on the 7 day of October 2011. th (iii) Purpose This Bylaw sets standards for tradewaste and determines how tradewaste may be accepted into the public wastewater system. It provides for the classification of tradewaste according to the following classes: (a) Acceptable tradewaste that may be disposed of into the wastewater system subject to compliance with standard conditions (b) Conditional tradewaste that may be disposed of into the wastewater system provided specific conditions are complied with (c) Prohibited tradewaste that is not accepted for disposal into the wastewater system (iv) Application This Bylaw applies throughout the Marlborough district for all of the Marlborough District Council sewer networks. Explanatory Note Independent of any obligations under this Bylaw, the occupier must also comply with the requirements of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Resource Management Act 1991, and the Building Act 1991 and all other relevant statutory requiremen ts.
