Community, Development and Alumni P&F Ball raises the roof Over 450 parents from our three campuses – Stanmore, Wyvern and Lindfield – celebrated with the College community at this year’s P&F Ball and said thank you to Newington College Headmaster Dr David Mulford, who retires at the end of the year. Masters of Ceremonies Mrs Kylie Gillies and Mr Craig Reucassel entertained guests with Dr Mulford’s ‘This is Your Life’. Stories of our Headmaster’s time at Newington were shared by his wife Judy, past Senior Prefects, Dr Andrew Hirst (Head of Stanmore and Deputy Headmaster, 2008–2015) and Chairman of College Council, Mr Tony McDonald (ON 1976). Mr Tony McDonald introduced the Mulford Bursary, set up to honour Dr Mulford’s legacy. As a driving force Masters of Ceremonies Mrs Kylie Gillies and Mr Craig Reucassel present Dr David behindthe renewal of the College, Mulford's 'This is Your Life'. All photos on this page: Jared Leibowitz (ON 2013) Dr Mulford is leaving magnificent legacies – physical, educational and pastoral – that will serve the sons of Newington for many generations. More than $100,000 was raised for the Mulford Bursary on the night through a $10,000 cash raffle, and silent and live auctions. Thanks to these funds and a generous donation of $500,000 led by an anonymous Old Boy, the Mulford Bursary is well on its way to being operational – a fitting farewell for Dr Mulford. Thank you to parents, supporters and organisers, and everyone who came along. Remember, New is the future!
