Renders of the Sydney Roosters proposed new facility currently in production MBS to Build Roosters Pen MBS AND FLEETWOOD TO DELIVER NRL GRAND FINAL WINNERS NEW HOME FACILITIES MBS has just landed the contract to build a new gym and office complex for the Sydney Roosters – this year’s NRL grand final winner. The new double storey facility consisting of 31 modules and covering over 1200sqm will be home to the Roosters for the next few years during the Allianz Stadium redevelopment scheduled to open in 2021. Built within the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust area adjacent to Allianz Stadium the high-profile project is set to receive much attention during the build and initial stages of the Roosters moving in early next year. The project will be built in Fleetwood’s very own Tomago facility and is just the second project to be built jointly between MBS and Fleetwood (the first being a school for St Patrick’s College in suburban Sydney). An interesting fact about the build is that a large part of the ground floor is devoted to the players gymnasium, which is built on a concrete slab within the building envelope. Along with this the upper floor office area is serviced by both an internal staircase and a lift for easy access across the board. After a successful first venture together, the team will be looking to come together again to deliver another first-class facility under the pressures of a shortened project timeline. To meet the client’s tight deadline of early January, modules are set for delivery to site by late November and a substantial portion of the fit-out works will be completed on-site.
