Sink and cooktop cut outs can be done on a CNC flatbed router or using a jig and standard router with appropriate tooling and cutter depth. Any cut outs should be kept to a minimum of 100mm from any join. Cooktop cut outs require a 6mm radius to the top and bottom edges and the use of the thermal barrier foil heat tape & felt (Refer Nover code 160599). Sink cut outs require a 6mm radius to top and bottom edges and al l cuts should be sanded and internal radius must not exceed 10mm. STANDARD JOINS Evostone is supplied pre-finished with a 1mm aris to finished edges. When instal ling joins either in line, at 90 degree, or custom angles, simply cut to length using tungsten tipped triple chip tooth saw blade or tungsten carbide router bit. WATERFALL END STANDARD JOIN A standard join in a waterfal l is obtained simply by butt joining the waterfal l end to the underside of the top. Apply a 1mm aris and sand the edge that is to be joined if the size of the top has been altered. INSTALLING EVOSTONE Ensure cabinets are instal led correctly and level prior to instal ling the Evostone work surface. Use Fula Seal 660 (520620) and apply a liberal dab every 150-200mm to the top edges of the cabinets and then apply the Evostone work surface to the cabinets and press into position. Clearance of 1mm per metre is required when instal ling between wal ls to accommodate expansion and contraction. DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS As with al l solid surface products Evostone has limitations which must be respected to avoid product failure and voiding of the warranty.
