Programs 4 Scholarships in ResearchLeadership Development The VCCC continued its commitment to developing research leadership by awarding post-doctoral Participants researchers fully funded places in the Victorian Consortium for Health and Biomedical Researcher 91 Development Program. Eleven senior post-doctoralresearchers who demonstrated the desire andpotential to manage and lead a research team were supported by the scholarships. Clinical Leadership Workshop — Resilience Presented by the University of Melbourne’s medical education team, this workshop gave VCCC partnership staff the skills to approach adversity in their clinical work with a growth mindset, developing healthy appraisals of difficult situations, and gaining the skills to provide support to others during tough times. Clinical Consultation Skills Education Retreat for Oncology Clinicians Participants with a range of specialties were funded to attend an immersive residential program delivered by Cancer Council Victoria and the Centre for Organisational Change in Person-Centred Healthcare, enhancing their skills and mentoring capabilities in communication, enabling them to more effectively support people and families experiencing cancer. 28
