The RMA sets out a range of powers, duties and functions, and the statutory processes that must be followed when processing and determining applications for resource consent. The RMA’s purpose is to promote sustainable management of natural and physical resources. This Activity is about the promotion of the sustainable management of natural and physical resources and the administration of the Marlborough Sounds and the Wairau/Awatere Resource Management Plans (which will be superceded by the Proposed Marlborough Environment Plan once this is operative).
