Marlborough District Council Roading Assets - Activity Management Plan 2015 - 2018 SECTION 1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY All new crossings are generally constructed at the cost of the adjoining property owner as part of a subdivision approval. A small allocation ($12,000) has been allowed for any new crossings which cannot be attributed to a property owner. 1.6.8.7 Vehicle Crossing Issues/Risks The key issues/risks relating to vehicle crossings are: Decline in condition and reduced effective life due to heavy vehicles and utility reinstatement Variability in work quality and workmanship Older vehicle crossings deteriorating quicker than expected Considering these risks against the other risks evident on the roading network, these risks are considered very low. 1.6.8.8 Disposal Plan There are not anticipated to be any disposal of vehicle crossing assets during the life of this AMP. 30 September 2014 Page 100 of Section 1
