Marlborough District Council Roading Assets - Activity Management Plan 2015 - 2018 SECTION 1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1.2.8 Limitations of this AMP Broadly, core asset management functions are those which produce an Asset Management Plan based on providing current levels of service and meet minimum legislative requirements by supporting a long-term (10 year plus) cash flow forecast and accounting for changes in the service potential of assets. Core AMP’s define existing levels of service and their costs. Council proposes to monitor the performance of this revised Asset Activity Management Plan over its life, to modify where necessary and update inventories and data. The Activity Management Plan will serve as the management tool for programming physical works and preparing the Marlborough District component of the annual National Land Transport Plan. The limitations of this plan are: The inspection and condition rating of some the ancillary assets is still required to form a better overall picture of the roading asset on which to base future decisions on the life cycle management decisions, for example traffic services. A history of condition data needs to accumulate on those assets that have recently been rated for example: footpaths and retaining walls.
