Marlborough District Council Roading Assets - Activity Management Plan 2015 - 2018 SECTION 1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY systems used by the physical works maintenance contractor to manage the assets are audited on a regular basis by both external and internal auditors, audit of the Safety Management System by the physical works maintenance contractor to confirm that the inspection and management systems are operating correctly, the assets themselves are audited internally on a random monthly basis to ensure conformance with the maintenance contract specifications, the assets are audited externally by an external auditor on a random basis to ensure conformance with the contract specifications. All new risks or amended risk profiles identified are to be added to the risk registers and the appropriate management system put in place to eliminate or reduce the risk to Council. The risk registers are live documents that are amended as required.
